Wi-Fi internet to be installed onboard all Icelandair flights

Icelandair flights will now have Wi-Fi internet installed on all its aircrafts. Iceland’s leading carrier recently signed a contract with the American company Row 44 for the installation of Wi-Fi internet.

The installation of Wi-Fi internet onboard all its flights will enable passengers booking Icelandair flights tickets and boarding flights to log on and surf the internet at 30,000 feet over the Atlantic.

Björgólfur Jóhannsson, President of Icelandair Group, said that the airline is now focusing its efforts on providing customers with a unique service. He said that all of the aircrafts in Icelandair fleet will be fully equipped with the in-flight entertainment in order that the passengers get a unique service and comfortable onboard experience.

The installation process is likely to begin later this year. According to the airline, the Wi-Fi connection is due to be fully implemented by autumn 2013.

The Wi-Fi internet connection will be available on all of the flights to and from the UK, the U.S., Scandinavia and Continental Europe.
