Jet Airways into codeshare pact with Air France, KLM

India’s largest private carrier Jet Airways recently signed codeshare agreements with European carriers Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. The codeshare flights have become operational with effect from June 19, 2013.

According to the codeshare agreement, Air France will be able to put its marketing code on Jet Airways flights on domestic routes to three major Indian cities beyond Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. Jet Airways indicated that the customers traveling from Europe to India on Air France flights would now be able to connect conveniently on a single ticket to Chennai via Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, as well as to Kolkata and Hyderabad via Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Similarly, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines would be able to put its marketing code on Jet Airways-operated domestic flights to four key cities in India beyond Delhi. This would allow passengers traveling from Europe to India to seamlessly connect to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai via Delhi.
Members of Jet Airways JetPrivilege and Air France- KLM's Flying Blue frequent flyer programs would get the opportunity to earn status miles/points when traveling on the respective codeshare flights.

Currently, Air France-KLM is offering 27 flights every week between Europe and India.
