Jet Airways likely to get A-320 neo aircraft in initial delivery

Jet Airways flights will be operated on A-320 neo aircraft if the airline is able to get the delivery of the new aircraft.

Aircraft maker Airbus recently hinted that it is likely to accommodate India’s leading private carrier Jet Airways in its initial delivery of the brand new A-320 neo aircraft.

Media reports said that Jet Airways is evaluating A-320 neo aircraft as part of its expansion strategy. The airline is also understood to have discussed this possibility with the aircraft maker.

Airbus is also looking forward to Jet Airways placing its order for new A-320 neo aircraft now, so that ways could be found out on how to deliver the aircraft with other initial customers.

Currently, Jet Airways along with its subsidiary JetKonnect operate over 600 domestic and international flights, with a fleet of a total 121 aircrafts. Most of the aircrafts in the airline’s fleet has been purchased from Boeing.

Airbus is expected to start delivery of its new A-320 neo aircrafts to its initial customers in 2015-16.
