JetBlue Airways begins summer seasonal service between Boston and Nantucket

JetBlue Airways recently announced the launch of its summer seasonal service between Boston and Nantucket. The inaugural JetBlue Airways flights took off from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Nantucket Memorial Airport on May 17, 2012.

JetBlue Airways, which is the largest airline in Boston, said in a statement that it will fly islanders offering daily jet service to its 45th nonstop destination out of Logan through September 4, 2012.

John Checketts, JetBlue Airways’ Director of Route Planning, said that the airline is excited to make the trip easy and comfortable for its Boston customers considering Nantucket as the perfect place to spend fun-filled and thrilling times in the summer.

He said that Boston has always continued to support JetBlue Airways and its products and service offerings. “JetBlue Airways will continue to support Boston by adding destinations and focusing on delivering the best possible customer experience,” Checketts said.

The airline also launched daily nonstop flights to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard from New York JFK on May 17, 2012. The airline will operate the flights to both these destinations from New York JFK daily throughout the summer. JetBlue Airways will add a second daily flight between New York JFK and Nantucket starting from June 21 through September 10, 2012.
