JetBlue Traffic Soars in December

JetBlue Airways in its preliminary report for the month of December 2011 reported and increase of 14.3% in traffic as compared to December 2010. Traffic calculation is done in revenue passenger miles, which connotes one mile flown by one passenger. Similarly a 17.1% of growth was also seen in terms of capacity when compared to last year.

The stats further show that in December 2011 JetBlue has outperformed Delta Airlines and United Continental Holdings, its main rivals.

Disdain of high air fuel prices and cut throat competition, the year 2011 ended on an extremely positive note for JetBlue as compared some big industry giants like Delta and United Continental.
