KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to launch flights to Amsterdam from Salzburg and Innsbruck

The Dutch carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently announced it will begin flights to Amsterdam from two Austrian cities this winter.

The airline in a statement said that KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flights to Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria will begin operations from Amsterdam starting this winter.

The airline said that the flights to the two Austrian cities will be operated in association with Air France’s low-cost sister airline Transavia.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has entered into a codeshare agreement with Transavia to operate flights on the two new routes. The flights on both the routes will become fully operations after December 20, 2012.

Initially, Transavia will start operating one flight every day to Amsterdam from Innsbruck from December 7, 2012. However, starting from December 20 Transavia will increase the frequency and will begin operating five more flights every week to Amsterdam from Salzburg.

The airline said that indirect flights using these two new routes can be booked as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines connecting flights worldwide.
