Philippine Airlines, other domestic carriers waive rebooking charges for passengers

Flood-hit passengers booking Philippine Airline flights tickets will not have to pay extra fees for rebooking their flights to various domestic destinations within Philippine.

Apart from Philippine Airline, other domestic airlines including Cebu Pacific, AirAsia Philippines, Zest Airways and Airphil Express also waived rebooking charges for passengers who were unable to board their flights because of the bad weather. Recent heavy rains have caused floods in most parts of Philippine.

Ceby Pacific offered opportunity to rebook another flight to those passengers who were not able to reach the airport to take their flights due to flooding or rains in their areas. According to the airline, the passengers have been asked to rebook their flights within 30 days starting August 6, 2012 or provided an option to place the value of the booking in a “travel fund”. Here the passengers would be able to store the value of their unused tickets for later use within a validity period of 90 days from the flight date.
