Philippine Airlines signs partnership deal with a Filipino bank, to offer air travel rewards

Philippine Airlines recently announced it has entered into a partnership with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) aimed at providing benefits to its customers.

The customers holding Bank of the Philippine Islands credit card are being provided the option to convert their rewards points to air miles when booking Philippine Airlines flights.

The airline in a statement said that BPI cardholders will now be able to redeem Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles for a minimum of 5,000 points, equivalent to 1,000 miles.

According to the airline, the customers require a minimum of 8,000 miles for domestic travel, which is equivalent to booking a round-trip ticket to Cebu or Kalibo in Economy Class.

The airline further stated that the customers require a minimum of 15,000 miles, which equals a round-trip ticket to Hong Kong in Economy Class. 
The supplementary cardholders of BPI who have also earned points will now be able to convert their points to miles.
