Qatar Airways begins flights to Erbil in Iraq

Qatar Airways flights will now be taking off to Iraq. The airline recently launched its flights to Erbil in the north in Iraq. The flights were launched on May 23, 2012. The airline will also introduce flights to Iraq’s capital Baghdad from June 7, 2012. Each of the routes will be served with four flights every week nonstop from Doha.

Qatar Airways recently announced new routes in the Middle East, Africa and Asia with capacity hikes being to a number of other international destinations from Doha hub as part of its 2012 expansion plans.

The airline will also introduce flights to Kilimanjaro, its second gateway in Tanzania, from July 25, 2012. The daily flights to Kilimanjaro will be operated via Nairobi. The airline disclosed that it will be launching flights to Mombasa from August 15, 2012. The holiday center of Mombasa is Qatar Airways’ second gateway in Kenya after its capital Nairobi. This will be the airline’s third African destination of 2012. Each of the daily services will operate via the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam.
