Singapore Airlines places orders for A380 and A350

Singapore Airlines has recently confirmed that they have placed an order of five more Airbus A380s and 20 A350-900s. The airlines said that it had placed this order to Airbus in October 2012.

A380s ordered by Singapore Airlines will be fitted with Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines. With this order Singapore Airlines flights will be flying the second most A380's. At present the airline has 19 A380 Airbus in its fleet.

John Leahy, COO of Airbus said that with this repeat order is a great endorsement placed by Singapore Airlines, which is also one of its largest operators. He further informed that with this deal there are 262 A380 orders and 582 A350 orders.
