Singapore Airlines reports increase in June passenger load factor

Singapore Airlines flights put up a strong showing in June this year. The airline recently announced the operational results for the month of June 2012 and sounded quite upbeat at the outcome.

Providing details about its outcome, the airline said that its passenger load factor witnessed a significant increase across all the regions. This also coupled with an increase in system-wide passenger carriage during June this year as compared to the same month in 2011.

Singapore Airlines stated that its passenger load factor increased more than 4 percent y-o-y to 83 percent. At the same time, the airline’s passenger carriage also recorded a growth by almost 12 percent over the same period. 

The airline also said that Singapore Airlines flights tickets also put up a strong sale in June this year. The airline said that the number of total passengers it carried was 1.5 million, an increase of 9.8 percent y-o-y as compared to the same month in 2011.
