Spirit Airlines continues to flourish despite harsh criticism

Spirit Airlines is a budget carrier that operates out of its hub in Miramar, Florida. Despite being a no-frills airline, the low cost carrier is flourishing. The prime reason that attracts travelers to it, is low airfares. The airline has been criticized time and again for its stringent policies that least favors the travelers, yet it continues to expand its network within the United States.

Many brand its CEO Ben Baldanza as a ruthless boss who is focused on minting money and cares a least about customer satisfaction. Yet these disgruntled passengers keep coming back for more flights to their destinations. The predominant reason behind all this blame game is highly competitive prices of flight tickets that are hard to find in the market. Though the airline charges for a basic facility as water onboard, yet it manages to keep its fares low and continues to offer an affordable mode of travel to millions of travelers each year.

Though it is one of the fastest developing airlines in the country, yet it is at the center of a whirlwind condemnation at the same time. As far as the award for the Worst Company in America is concerned, it is always in the forefront. Despite harsh criticism, it manages to hold its ground and offer tickets at rock bottom prices, sans the amenities one expects from an airline company.

It however, is well aware of its customer base and believes that three categories of passengers fly with it. Frankly, it does not care! All it is focused about is keeping its prices as low as possible and battle the big rivals with similar zest and fervor. At present, it flies to about 57 destinations including Punta Cana, Nassau, Kingston, San Salvador, Denver, Orlando, Houston, and Lima.
