Sun Country Airlines to begin Minneapolis-Washington D.C. service

Here’s good news for those planning to take Sun Country Airlines flights for travel between Minneapolis and Washington D.C. The airline has announced it will launch a new nonstop service on Minneapolis/St. Paul-Washington D.C. route starting from August 20, 2013.

The airline will be operating six nonstop flights as well as four flights via Lansing, MI, between the two cities every week.

Washington D.C. will be Sun Country Airlines’ 32nd destination to be served nonstop from Minneapolis. This will also enable the Washington area passengers to connect conveniently to the West Coast via Minneapolis.

Providing flight schedule details, Sun Country Airlines said that its flights between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Washington D.C. would be offered Monday through Friday. The flight would depart Washington D.C. at 11.50 am and arrive in Minneapolis at 1.30 pm. The return flight would depart Minneapolis at 5.05 pm and arrive the same day at Washington D.C. at 8.30 pm. On Sunday, the flight will depart from Minneapolis at 6.45 am and arrive in Washington D.C. at 10.10 am. The return flight would depart Washington D.C. at 10.00 pm and arrive in Minneapolis at 11.40 pm.
