SWISS into codeshare pact with Darwin Airline

Switzerland’s flag carrier SWISS recently announced that it is expanding its flight services from Geneva and Zurich effective March 8, 2012.

SWISS revealed that it has entered into codeshare agreement with Darwin Airline. According to the airline, SWISS flights on the Geneva-Luxembourg, Geneva-Genoa, Geneva-Lugano and Zurich-Genoa routes will now be operated under codeshare pact with Darwin Airline.

The airline further indicated that SWISS/Darwin codeshare services will also be offered on the Geneva-Venice and Geneva-Florence routes effective March 25 onwards. 

Ignazio Strano, SWISS Head of Network, said that the airline’s partnership with Darwin Airline will offer passengers making SWISS flight reservations an even broader choice of destinations. He also said that the partnership with Darwin Airline will further help the airline to strengthen its position in Western Switzerland by offering the passengers an even more attractive range of services from and to Geneva.

SWISS and Darwin Airline are already working together and jointly offering four flights per day between Zurich and Lugano ever since October 2005.
