THAI launching direct flights between Bangkok and Sapporo in October

Thailand’s national flag carrier Thai Airways International, also popularly called THAI, recently announced it will be launching its flights to its newest destination in Japan from October this year.

The airline in a statement said that THAI flights will start operating between Bangkok and Sapporo starting from October 30, 2012.

The airline will operate the direct flights between the two cities with the help of Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido province in northern Japan. The city is famous for its Snow Festival, which is held at the Odori Park. Tourists from world over visit Sapporo in February each year to watch the Snow Festival.

Travelers from Thailand booking THAI flights tickets and traveling to Sapporo will also get opportunity to visit other attractions in the city, including the historic clock tower, the famous Suzukino shopping district and the governing office.

Currently, THAI will be operating three flights every week between Bangkok and Sapporo. The flights will depart Bangkok on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The return flight will depart Sapporo on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
