Turkish Airlines to increase flights to Istanbul from Birmingham

Turkish Airlines recently announced that it will increase its flights to Istanbul from Birmingham starting March 25, 2012.

The airline said that flights between Birmingham Airport and Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport will be increased to a daily service instead of the existing 5-times a week.

The new flights will depart from Birmingham at 11.15 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and at 2.15 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Birmingham Airport officials in a statement said that many business travelers have been using Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport to connect with Turkish Airlines’ route network in the Middle East, Far East and Africa.

Turkish Airlines will deploy an Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 on Birmingham-Istanbul route. The airline began operating flights from Birmingham in 2008.
