Germany’s leading carrier Air Berlin
recently entered into codeshare agreement with British Airways to provide more flights to Antigua & Barbuda.
The airline said that the departure will be from Berlin to Gatwick Airport in London from where the passengers will board British Airways flight to Antigua.
Earlier, the German tourists had to travel by Air Condor, a German carrier that operated flights from Frankfurt on a weekly basis.
Air Berlin recently became a member of global airline alliance ‘oneworld’. By joining the alliance Air Berlin will now get access to 12 major international airlines
as well as 20 affiliate airlines.
The codeshare agreement with British Airways will allow Air Berlin to provide cheap flights to Antigua to German tourists and share fare structures with the airline in order to provide smooth flight operations and ticketing.
