Air China confirms direct service to Washington to start June 10

Air China had a few days ago declared its decision to launch direct flights to Washington D.C. The flagship carrier of China had announced that it was all set to commence nonstop service between the Chinese capital city of Beijing and Washington D.C. All it was not sure about was when!

However, it has now cleared the air about the anticipation and speculation doing the rounds in the international aviation circuit. Passengers will soon be able to book airline tickets with it for flight services that will debut on June 10, 2014 on this sector. The management, staff, and passengers are waiting anxiously for this new service.

At present, the airline flies to almost 185 destinations worldwide. It shares a good connectivity with various destinations in the United States and Canada. Currently, it operates service to six North American cities. Vancouver, Honolulu, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York are the cities served by it. Post the launch, the U.S. capital will become its seventh gateway city in the region.

The airline will debut the route with four-times-a-week flights. These flights will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It will use the services of Boeing 777-300 ER planes on this sector. As per the schedule, flights will depart from Beijing at 1:00 pm and arrive in Washington at 2:35 pm, local time. Return flights will depart Washington at 4:35 pm and arrive in Beijing at 6:15 pm, the next day.
