Air China endeavors to improve onboard dining experience

If you travel on first class or business class flights on Air China, then you are surely among those lucky few. Air China has demonstrated that it cares for you and promises to improve your dining experience on board its flights significantly. Putting up with its endeavors, Air China recently attended a wine auction held in France. The renowned Hospices de Beaune auction just concluded in Burgundy, a top wine-growing region in France. Air China’s presence at the auction was important as it succeeded in picking up many bottles of wine for its first and business class customers traveling on international routes.

Air China said that it has been a regular at the wine auction and it was its third consecutive year to have made its presence felt. It was in 1859 that the Hospices de Beaune auction was conducted for the first time. The auction has now successfully completed its 550 years and is presently the oldest charity wine auction in the world. Many vineyards come together every year to present their finest quality of wines at the Hospices de Beaune auction. Over 85 percent of vineyards offer the top quality wines. The auction attracts a large number of wine dealers and lovers for the famous Burgundy wines.

This year it was the 153rd Hospices de Beaune auction that was held on November 17, 2013. The 2013 vintage wines were showcased at the auction from 43 wine-producing regions in Burgundy. Some of the famous regions that showcased their wine produce included Beaune, Meursault, Mazis-Chambertin, Batard-Montrachet and Corton. Nearly 17 barrels of two brands of whites and three brands of reds were picked by Air China’s wines procurement team.
