Air China launching flights to Washington this summer

Air China is expanding its flights services to various international destinations this year. China’s national carrier recently announced it is all set to launch its new service between Beijing and Washington D.C. this summer. The airline is planning to provide connectivity between the capital of the two countries – China and the United States. The flights are scheduled to start from June 10, 2014. The airline said that it will soon start the sale of its plane tickets for travel between the two destinations. Air China will operate four flights every week to Washington Dulles with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Air China also indicated that it has decided to resume its flights services between Beijing and London Gatwick. The flights on Beijing-London route will begin operations from March 30, 2014. The airline will deploy an Airbus A330-200 aircraft to operate flights four times per week. Air China first started operating flights between the two destinations from May 2, 2012. The flights on this route were however suspended in October 2013.

This summer, China’s flagship carrier will be resuming its flights to Vienna. The airline will also add Barcelona as a new destination on its global flight network. The flights to Vienna and Barcelona will be operated from Beijing. The airline further said that it will begin nonstop flights to Munich from Shanghai this summer as well. Starting from February this year, Air China will be operating a total of 81 international routes, including Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong.
