Air France hunts for Business Travelers on Medium Haul flights

Air France is on a stride to attract more business class passengers to its medium-haul flights. The airline endeavors to offer the best business product to the customers. It is reconfiguring the aircraft with new leather seating, offering better gourmet food options, installing in-flight Wi-Fi to lure more elite passengers to the business cabin.

New Comfortable Seats
The carrier will install a new seat design across all the cabins from April 2015. The medium-haul fleet including 24 Airbus A319 aircrafts and 25 Airbus A320 aircrafts will be outfitted with these seats totaling to 7800.

Gourmet Dining Options
Even on short flights in Business Class, the passengers will relish a full breakfast including bread, fruits, juice, pastries, coffee and tea and a cold meal or snack at other times. Medium-haul flights will feature the likes of long-haul flights including welcome drink, gourmet coffee, hot meals, liqueur and wine service. Freshly baked bread and warm pastries will also be served on all the fights.

Stay Connected on Board!
The carrier, in collaboration with Orange, will also offer in-flight Wi-Fi to the customers. Starting summer 2015, it will run a three-month trial on two A320s being operated on short haul and medium haul flights.

Flexible Ticket Options
The airline has devised a new plan dubbed ‘”Economy Flex” for its business class passengers. The customers can purchase tickets starting January 2015 for the flights scheduled to operate in April 2015. Tickets can be modified or refunded without any charge. Passengers can also board the flight earlier than the scheduled time on the same day. They can board the return flight on “Mini” fare. The baggage up to 23 kilos is allowed free of charge. The passengers can also carry a bag and an accessory including camera, laptop or handbag, not exceeding 12 kilos.
