Air France Launches All New Lie Flat Business Class Seats

Air France recently launched its all new fully-flat business class seats to be fitted on its long-haul flights. These new seats have been designed by JPA design and are known as the Zodiac Cirrus Aero Seat. These all new lie-flat seats are very similar to the ones fitted on the business class sections of American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.

Some of the slight design differences include the 16 inches long IFE screen faces the passengers directly as it is fitted in the back side of the seat. These new seats offer passengers full privacy, full access to aisle and fully flat beds, or the 3 'F's. For the comfort of passengers the seats are given a herringbone angled shape and are laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration. The seats are fitted with a padded headboard and a changeable headrest made from soft leather.

Air France in September 2013 has hinted about launching new business class seats during the launch of their all new economy class and premium economy class seats. As per the airline this new design will help them in move upscale and tap the HNI passengers. At present the airline will revamp its entire B777 fleet and will offer a total of 2,102 new business class seats. The airline as of now hasn’t mentioned about revamping its A380 fleet, however it may intend to do so once all the B777 aircrafts are equipped with the new seats.
