Alaska Airlines passenger traffic up 10.4% in September

Alaska Airlines recently announced its operational results for the month of September 2011. The airline reported an increase in its passenger traffic by 10.7% as compared to a 7.2% increase in September 2010.

The airline cited that the increase in its passenger traffic has also contributed to an increase of 2.4 point in its load factor to a record 83.9% in September this year.

Alaska Airlines also disclosed that 91.7% of its flights arrivals were on time as compared to 90.5% in September last year.

Meanwhile, Alaska Airlines while providing further details about its September operational results stated that its Santa Rosa flights increased by 9% in September 2011. The airline carried 18,485 passengers to/from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma Country Airport. Last year during the same month the airline carried 16,944 passengers.

The airline is a statement said that 154,618 passengers have so far used the Santa Rosa service this year, which is 12.5% more than in 2010.

Alaska Airlines operates 5 flights to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Portland and Seattle from Santa Rosa daily. The airline also revealed that 82% of its flights were full in September 2011.

Alaska Airlines along with its subsidiary together connect 90 cities in the state of Alaska, Hawaii, the Lower 48, Mexico and Canada.
