Alitalia wins Best Airline Cuisine award for business class

Italy’s national flag carrier Alitalia recently announced its business class flights have been recognized for serving the best airline cuisine in business class.

Gianni Pieraccioni, Alitalia’s Chief Commercial Officer, said that Alitalia has once again been acknowledged as the world’s best airline for its innovative dining program being served onboard Magnifica Business Class cabins.

The airline was presented with the “Best Airline Cuisine” award for business class by the prestigious American magazine Global Traveler.
The Global Traveler magazine organized the 2012 GT Tested Reader Survey Awards in which more than 28,000 frequent flyers participated.

The “Best Airline Cuisine” award was presented to Alitalia in recognition of its efforts for upgrading its onboard service through delectable menus reflecting the culinary excellence of Italy.

According to Alitalia, the menus being offered in Magnifica Business Class are greatly inspired by the traditions of the Italian regions. The customers booking business class tickets in Alitalia are also served wines along with the menus.
