All Nippon Airways new San Jose-Tokyo flights likely next year

Japan’s leading carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) recently announced that its planned San Jose-Tokyo route to be introduced this year has now been put on hold and is likely to be launched early 2013.

The airline is still awaiting the delivery of more Boeing 787 Dreamliners so that it is able to operate flights on San Jose -Tokyo route.

All Nippon Airways in a statement said that it currently has five Boeing 787s and is expecting more to be delivered soon. The airline is now planning to operate its trans-Pacific service in early 2013 and only then the passengers will be able to book air tickets on this route.

Nao Gunji, ANA spokeswoman, said that the announcement of the launch will be made as soon as possible. However, the guess it that it’s looking to be more like January, February or March of 2013. But, this depends on how soon the Dreamliners are delivered.

The airline is likely to introduce its first Boeing 787 flight on Seattle-Tokyo route later this year.
