Allegiant now flies on Charlottesville-Orlando route

Allegiant Air just recently launched operations from Charlottesville. The Las Vegas based airline has added yet another destination to its itinerary. Charlottesville received its maiden Allegiant flight from Orlando on Thursday. About 85 passengers were greeted at the Florida airport.

The airline, which offers cheap airfare to destinations across the United States, is expanding its presence within the country. The airline will offer two flights per week between the city pair. These flights will be provided through the year. The nonstop service will give an affordable chance to the travelers to fly to their destinations on the route.

The inaugural flight between Orlando Sanford International Airport and Charlottesville Airport has spread joy, and happiness amongst the airline’s staff and travelers as well as the airport management. The airline was greeted with a cannon salute. Passengers disembarked the plane amid cheers and greetings from the airport officials, and TV cameras. To make their maiden journey memorable, there was a lavish breakfast spread and souvenirs at the airport. Most passengers were surprised at the gesture.

Airline officials are extremely pleased with the initial response to this flight. They believe many passengers looking for an affordable means of air travel will appreciate its efforts to launch this service. In fact, it expects to draw passengers from the Richmond region also.
