American Airlines launching Miami-Frankfurt route from May 14

American Airlines recently announced it will be launching new flights to Frankfurt from Miami in May next year. The airline in a statement said that it will start operating flights between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Miami International Airport (MIA) starting from May 14, 2015. The flights will deploy a Boeing 767-300 aircraft to operate flight on the route.

Providing details of flight schedule on the new Miami-Frankfurt route, the airline said that the flights would depart from Miami at 2.45 pm and arrive in Frankfurt at 6.15 am. The return flight would leave Frankfurt at 10.30 am and reach Miami at 2.55 pm. The flights would be operated daily. With the launch of new flights to Frankfurt, the airline will now be operating a total of four daily flights to be operated seasonally here from its hubs at Miami, Philadelphia, Charlotte and Dallas/Fort Worth.

Marilyn DeVoe, American Airlines’ Vice President – Miami, said that the new flights to Frankfurt demonstrates the importance of Miami hub and the potential of growth from here, particularly when the airline is celebrating 25th anniversary of Miami hub. He said that Miami has become a significant destination for travelers looking to efficiently connect to Europe and Latin American destinations. The airline’s Miami hub presently connects more than 130 domestic and international destinations in South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

The airline has entered into a joint Atlantic business partnership with Finnair, Iberia and British Airways and other oneworld alliance partners to offer expanded service to its customers to more than 80 destinations across the Atlantic.
