American Airlines to launch DFW-Beijing flights May 7

American Airlines is all set to launch its new flights services to China in May this year. The airline recently announced it will start operating flights between Dallas/Fort Worth and Beijing from May 7, 2015. The flights between Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will be operated daily.

The airline in a statement said that this will be its sixth daily flight to Asia from Dallas/Fort Worth. This will also be the airline’s only nonstop service between the two cities. With the launch of new Dallas/Fort Worth-Beijing route, American Airlines will now be offering services to 11 destinations between Asia and the United States. The customers can start booking their flight tickets for travel between the two cities as they are already on sale.

The airline will deploy a Boeing 777-200 aircraft to serve DFW-Beijing route. The aircraft has been retrofitted and will prominently feature direct aisle access and fully lie-flat seat in its business class cabins. The aircraft is exquisite with its spacious look, a dramatic archway, unique lighting, a walk-up bar and modern interiors. The airline said that it has revamped the cabins in all its 47 Boeing 777-200 aircrafts presently in its fleet.

Andrew Nocella, Chief Marketing Officer of American Airlines, said, “The Asia-Pacific region is a crucial market for the airline and both the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Administration of China should be thanked for granting approval to the airline to operate its nonstop services between the two cities. The service will prove to be beneficial to the people and provide convenient direct access to the two major business markets for the first time.”
