The 10 Gruppen or Ten Swedish Designers was established in 1970 by a group of ten young Swedish textile designers. And, thus this popular design shop was also named as 10 Gruppen. However, only three of the original founding designers - Ingela Håkansson, Tom Hedqvist and Birgitta Hahn – own and operate the 10 Gruppen presently. The famous interior design shop Svenskt Tenn is situated in Ostermalm in the city. It was founded by Estrid Ericson in 1924.
