British Airways dubs January 3 as Cyber Surfing Tuesday, offers discount airfares to New York

British Airways has dubbed January 3, 2012 as ‘Cyber Surfing Tuesday’ saying that this is the day on which passengers take to mass online surfing for flight deals when people start returning to work after holidays.

The airline expects Tuesday (January 3) to be the busiest day of the year for booking cheap tickets on British Airways. The airline has forecast a 50 percent increase in mass online surfing usage as people start returning to their work after spending their Christmas and New Year holidays.

Andrew Crawley, Commercial Director of British Airways, said that with the London 2012 Olympic Games and Queen’s jubilee in place this year a lot more excitement is in store for the people, and planning for long holidays will also be on peoples’ mind thus generating big revenues for the airline this year.

To add more to people’s excitement, British Airways is offering discount airfares across its network as part of its winter sale. Cheap tickets to New York are available at a discount starting between $630 and $1,014 in World Traveler Plus. The fares include new rates of Air Passenger Duty.

Besides, cheap flights to Mexico City, Nice, Prague and Milan are also available at fabulous airline discounts. The offer lasts until November 30, 2012.
