British Airways has finally confirmed the news that it is soon going to prefer Do&Co as a catering provider on each of its outbound services from Heathrow. It is noted that the company is already involved in providing catering services on the first cabins on the routes between Heathrow-JFK as well for BA’s Club World.Furthermore, it was also accountable for the creation of new delectable menus for the Club World.
At present, Gate Gourmet is responsible to provide catering services on flights flying from Heathrow, however, from the month of October, British Airways would switch to the newly curated menus of Do&Co. It has been stated that all the outbound services in each classes is assumed to be completed towards the start of 2020. Furthermore, the airline will employ the caterers of Newrest on jetliners flying from Gatwick.
British Airways commented in an interview, ‘With a primary focus on serving good food in all cabins, we are presently investing an amount of £4.5bn for our valuable travelers. We have already introduced better menus in the Club World and feel immensely appreciated because our customers are liking the food. Newrest and Do&Co would work with us as our important partners in fulfilling our attention on providing good food and would walk on the path of delivering quality meals in each flight. Their appointment would also assist the airline to organize the complicated logistics related to handling the catering services on hundreds of flights flying between Heathrow and Gatwick per day. Proceeding forward with the association with Newrest and Do&Co, we would work on introducing inventory menus for our customers.’
