British Airways wants to expand its operations in the United States with new partnership. UK’s national carrier has recently signed a new codeshare pact with Alaska Airlines. The move is aimed at providing convenient and flexible options for UK customers to easily travel to the U.S.
A spokesperson of British Airways said that the customers of the airline will now be able to book seats on Alaska Airlines flights for traveling to seven destinations in the U.S. West Coast as well as three Hawaiian destinations starting from November 23, 2016.
The codeshare agreement between the two airlines has come as a boon for the holidaymakers to book flights from Los Angeles to Honolulu, Kahului and Kona to enjoying surfing in Hawaiian waters. Those who want to explore Portland, largest city in the State of Oregon, can also book flights from San Francisco and Seattle, both major hubs of Alaska Airlines.
Apart from these, flights to Portland can also be booked from San Jose on British Airways. San Jose is the newest Californian gateway of UK’s national carrier. Moreover, British Airways customers can also take advantage of this new codeshare partnership by booking flights from Seattle to Spokane, Fairbanks, Boise and Salt Lake City, and also to Santa Ana from San Jose.
British Airways is presently operating twice daily flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. The airline is also conducting daily flights to Vancouver, San Diego and San Jose. Currently, the airline is offering flights services to 29 North American destinations.

It is a matter of great delight that the close ties have been strengthened and partnership extended further. The codeshare pact provides opportunity to UK travelers to make use of Alaska Airlines extensive network for making onward connections to various destinations within United States.”
