British Airways to operate B787 and B777 on LHR-Tel Aviv route

British Airways recently announced it will be serving flights to London Heathrow from Tel Aviv with the help of wide-body Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 aircrafts on one of its three daily flights services. The airline said that it will start offering services between the two cities through its  Dreamliner B777-200 aircraft. The route is being presently served daily with the help of narrow-bodied Airbus A321 aircrafts.

A spokesperson of British Airways said that it will deploy its Dreamliner B777-200 aircraft on the route effective from October 25, 2015. The flights BA163 and BA162 will operate daily except for Mondays and Fridays inbound and Thursdays and Sundays outbound.

Aviation industry experts said that the use of wide-body Dreamliners between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv will immensely help British Airways to attract North American travelers, particularly those heading for New York, in a big way. The wide-body aircrafts will be used for operating the overnight flight from London and the morning return flight from Tel Aviv. Flight BA163 will be departing from London Heathrow at 22:30 hours and arrive at Tel Aviv at 05:15 hours, while the return flight BA162 will make its departure from Tel Aviv at 07:35 hours and arrive at London Heathrow at 11:00 hours.

Media reports said that the overnight flight and morning return flight from these destinations therefore perfectly complement the airline''s services to New York. The airline''s Flight BA178 departs from New York JFK and reaches London Heathrow at 20:15 hours, while the flight from Tel Aviv departs from London Heathrow at 13:15 hours and reaches New York JFK at 16:15 hours.
