Business class passengers in Asia up for a luxurious experience

Airlines in the Asian continent are playing a different kind of a game up in the air only to entice passengers flying on business class tickets with them. Business travelers make up for a considerable chunk of the revenue that various leading airlines earn from, therefore different carriers are focusing on innovative methods to boost the interest of the profit-making passengers.

Whether it’s Singapore Airlines (SIA), Cathy Pacific or Qantas all are doing their bit to attract the attention of the travelers. These premium airlines are pumping huge amounts of money in refurbishing their interiors, offering 5 star fine dining experiences onboard and chauffeur driven limo pickups. After all business travelers add up to 35 to 40 percent passenger profits. These wealthy flyers are their saviors in the highly competitive and volatile market. 

These affluent customers help the airlines fetch yields four to five times more than their economy travelers, a reason why the carriers don’t mind investing in their luxury and comfort. The industry is full of cold wars between airlines vouching for best business class amenities. All in all it is the customers who stand to benefit from the battle of the titans.

Tan Pee Teck, SIA’s Head of Product and Services said in an interview that one has to upgrade ones products constantly to walk ahead in the fray. He admitted that whenever people see something new and fresh they like to try it and that is how Airbus A380 was launched.

Traveling business class is no less than experiencing a royal treatment in one of the most luxurious and 5 star hotels in the world. With the change, business travelers have become the priority of all airlines thus giving them the opportunity to explore better than the best of services many feet above the ground.
