Cathay Pacific Airways to unveil premium economy class on Delhi, Mumbai routes from Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific Airways recently announced it is planning to introduce Premium Economy Class on Delhi-Hong Kong and Mumbai-Hong Kong routes by late 2012. The airline is taking this move aimed at offering additional value to the passengers and generating more revenue.
Earlier, Cathay Pacific Airways had launched First Class on the Mumbai-Hong Kong sector in October in 2011.

The airline said in a statement said that the new Premium Economy Class will be featuring a quieter, more spacious cabin and will accommodate between 26 and 34 passengers. The seat pitch will be 38 inches (6 inches more than Economy Class), and will be wider and have a bigger recline.

The airline further stated that the passengers booking Premium Economy flights will be offered dedicated check-in counters and priority boarding at the gate. Among other facilities when traveling in Premium Economy class includes a multi-port connector to stream audio and video from personal devices to the 10.6-inch widescreen personal TV with a noise-cancelling headset.
