Cathay Pacific introduces Bed Extension concept in business class

Cathay Pacific Airways, which has recently won ‘Best Business Class’ award by Airline Ratings, a products and air safety ratings firm, has said that it succeeded in winning the award because of its brand new concept. A top official of Cathay Pacific Airways while talking to mediapersons said that the new concept ‘Bed Extension’ introduced recently now offers a great flying experience to the customers on its business class flights. Describing about the new ‘Bed Extension’ feature, the official said that it is automatically deployed as the seat in business class cabin transforms into a bed with an increased width. The new concept has enabled Cathay Pacific Airways to offer a convertible bed that is one of the longest and widest to be provided by any commercial airline.

The airline official said that the new business class concept has been evolved after getting valuable feedbacks from the frequent flyers. He said that each seat provides the customers direct aisle access offering a perfect view through the windows.

According to the official, Cathay Pacific Airways while providing the best business class seats also takes care of the food preferences of the customers as well. Apart from its renowned signature Chinese dishes the airline also offers a regional dish option to the customers. The selection of wines offered by Cathay Pacific Airways has been regularly featuring in the ‘Cellars In The Sky’ awards, which the airline won in 2012 and 2013. The airline had been a recipient of ‘Best Business Class Red’ and ‘Best Overall Wine Cellar’ awards.
