Cathay Pacific Plans Alternatives for Business Class Flights

Come March 2012 and Cathay Pacific would start launching its Premium Economy flights between various Australian cities and Hong Kong. The move would go down well with travelers who want to avail the higher luxury offered by business class seats, yet do not want to pay the premium price.

Passengers aboard Cathay Pacific flights from Sydney and Hong Kong would be the first ones to experience the new Premium Economy seats.  The two flights earmarked for the introduction are the daily Sydney-Hong Kong service CX100 and CX101. Premium Economy in simple terms is a sandwich between business class and economy sections. The comfort is right up there with a few trade-offs. Highpoints are better leg space and higher luxury. The all new Airbus A330 and Boeing 777-300ER would be used to accommodate the new class.
