China Airlines record earnings in August 2011

China Airlines, Taiwan’s leading carrier, recently announced its operational results for August 2011 and said that it earnings had been quite impressive.

The airline said that its cross-strait services had shown strong demand and Taipei-Tokyo passenger traffic had significantly recovered as the impact of devastating earthquake that hit Japan mid-March had faded. According to China Airlines, it had earned big revenues due to record high sales of air tickets during August this year.

The airline said that its revenue from passenger traffic reached US$270 million, up 0.02% from July. The airline also cited growth in revenues because of the traditional peak season in July and August owing to summer vacation for the aviation business. China Airlines further said that it posted a 7% increase in the first 8 months of 2011 as compared to the same period last year.

China Airlines offers flights to Tokyo and several destinations in Asia and other continents. The airline also provides exciting travel packages and cheap flight deals to its customers regularly.
