Taiwan’s national carrier China Airlines recently announced it will be launching its new “Premium Business Class” cabins on its new fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts. The design of the new travel class has already been unveiled by the airline.
China Airlines in a statement said that the new Premium Business Class cabin will be featuring 40 flat-bed seats providing direct aisle access. The business class seats will be laid out in a herringbone arrangement.
Providing further details about the new cabins, the airline said that the seats would be equipped with a modern, state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system with large 18-inch screens showcasing nearly 100 different programs.
Among other facilities to be provided in the premium cabins include a reading lamp, power socket, USB port, a small minibar, and a cabinet for storing personal belongings. The customers will also be offered in-flight Wi-Fi services.
According to the airline, the customers booking premium business class seats would also be provided a toiletry bag comprising of skincare products, a blanket and a brush.
The exclusive feature of the new Premium Business Class cabin would be a social area located at the centre. The social area has been named the “Sky Lounge”. This new area has been exquisitely designed by the airline’s chief designer Ray Chen. The customers will find harmonious intermingling of both eastern and western elements. The ‘Literary Tea-Tasting Area’ will be located on the left side, while the ‘Fashionable Coffee Area’ will be on the right. A wide range of snacks and drinks will be offered here. A bar will also be located in the middle where customers will be served noodle dishes, tapas and cocktails. The customers can also keep themselves entertained with a wide selection of magazines, newspapers and books.
Apart from the Premium Business Class cabins, the new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts will also be featuring the ‘Sky Couch’ concept in the Economy Class.
