China Eastern introduced its first non-stop flights to Shanghai that would begin this year on June 16th. The newly launched service would be operating four times a week.
The fleet has yet not disclosed the accurate flight schedules. As per the Swedavia Airports, China Eastern is ready to takeoff its new Airbus A330-200 featuring 262 seats from Stockholm to Shanghai.
Jonas Abrahamsson, chief executive and president of Swaedavia stated, 'For Sweden, China holds an important position as its a significant export market and further, there are enormous Swedish organzations in the Shanghai region that regulates regular operations.'
Henceforth, the newly launched route plays a vital role for the Swedish markets. The flights would also bring Stockholm and Sweden into limelight and become much more attractve to most Chinese travelers.
Every year, 200,000 passengers travel from China to Sweden and since the past 10 years, air traffic between the two destinations has altogether doubled.
Most of the airlines too are looking forward to launch new routes between China and Nordic regions. Primarily, Beijing Capital Airlines is ready to start off services between Beijing, Copenhagen and Helsinki in the month of March and May respectively.
In the meantime, Finnair is all set to fly to Nanjing in the month of May.
