China Southern Airlines has announced special business class flight deals to various destinations in China and Europe to celebrate the launch of its daily business class flights to Auckland from Guangzhou.
The airline recently launched its new Guangzhou-Auckland route at a special ceremony hosted at the Auckland Airport, which was also attended by New Zealand’s Minister of Trade Tim Groser.
To mark the launch of its new flights, China Southern Airlines is offering fares ranging from US$1,291.03 (including taxes) for Economy Class for flights to Amsterdam and Paris via Guangzhou, while the passengers are being offered business class tickets starting from US$2,841.70 for these destinations. However, those taking flights to Guangzhou from Amsterdam or Paris are being offered return Economy Class tickets at US$896.36. Besides, connections to Shanghai and Beijing are also available after paying an additional US$97.78.
The airline said that the passengers can avail special business class fares to Europe up till December 31, 2011, while the Economy Class fares will be available for sale by up till December 20, 2011. The departures on these fares are valid from January 22-24, 2012; February 8 to March 31, 2012; and April 16 to June 30, 2012.
China Southern Airlines in a statement said that with the launch of the flights between Guangzhou and Auckland an additional 90,000 passenger seats will be available between the two cities every year. Besides, the introduction of the flights to Auckland also means that the tourism industry in New Zealand will generate an estimated US$74.08 million annually.
Kevin Bowler, Chief Executive of Tourism New Zealand, said that there has been a great yearning among Chinese travelers to visit the beautiful New Zealand and a dramatic growth in the number of Chinese visitors in the coming years is expected. Besides, the new flight services will also provide a great opportunity for the travelers from New Zealand to visit exciting places in China and experience its diverse culture.
