China Southern Airlines to acquire six more Dreamliners

In a bid to augment its subsidiary Xiamen Airlines fleet, China Southern Airlines has recently placed an order of six more Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts. Earlier the airline has placed an order of 10 787-8 Dreamliners to expand its own fleet.

As per the airline, the new aircrafts will be delivered by 2014 and 2015 and is also prepared for any kind of delays if made by Boeing.

China Southern Airlines established on 1st July 1988, holds a prestige of being Asia’s largest airline in terms of both fleet size and passengers carried. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport are the major hubs from where the airline operates flights to approximately 121 destinations. The airline at present possesses a fleet of 422 aircrafts and is a member of Skyteam.
