Copa Airlines launches nonstop flights to New Orleans from Panama

Copa Airlines recently launched its nonstop flights to New Orleans from Panama City. The airline started operating its flights services between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Panama City''s Tocumen International Airport effective from June 25, 2015.

With the launch of new service, New Orleans has now become Copa Airlines'' 11th destination in the United States and its overall 71st destination. The flights will be operated four times per week. The service will enable passengers traveling from New Orleans to conveniently connect to more than 55 destinations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.

Providing the flight schedule, the airline said that fliights would make its departure from New Orleans for Panama City at 7:01 am. The outbound flights would be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The return flight would depart from Panama City to New Orleans at 6:33 pm. The inbound flights would be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Fernando Fondevila, Commercial Regional Manager for Copa Airlines for North America, said, ”The airline's new service between Panama City and New Orleans would bring entire Latin America closer than ever before for leisure and business travelers boarding flights from Louisiana. It is a matter of great pride that this only nonstop flights between the two destinations would offer conveninent connections to various destinations throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.”

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu was also all praise for the launch of Copa Airlines' new service. He said that the international flight to Panama would prove to be quite beneficial as it will open the gateway to the Americas and boost the region''s tourism industry and other businesses with new economic potential.
