Copa Airlines launching nonstop Denver-Panama City flights Dec 11

Copa Airlines recently announced it will be launching nonstop flights to Denver from Panama City effective from December 11, 2017. The new service between Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport and Denver International Airport will be operated four times per week. With the launch of new route, Denver will now become the airline’s 13th destination in the United States, and 74th destination on its flight network.

 

A spokesperson of Copa Airlines while providing the details of new schedule said that Flight CM 477 will make its departure from Denver at 10:30 pm and arrives in Panama City at 6:05 am next morning. The inbound flight would be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week. The return Flight CM 476 will depart from Panama City at 11:50 am and reach Denver at 4:12 pm local time. The return flight would be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week. The flight duration on the route will be nearly 5 hours 30 minutes. The airline will deploy a Next Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to serve the two destinations. The aircraft will be configured with 16 seats in Business Class and 138 seats in the Main Cabin.

 

Media reports said that more than 30 passengers fly daily between Panama City and Denver. However, both Central America and South America invariable attract large number of travelers every day. Currently, the travel demand totals about 700 customers daily. The launch of nonstop flights by Copa Airlines during this year end will prove to be beneficial, particularly for those traveling from Denver, as they would be able to travel to Panama City at least 2 or 3 hours earlier than other airlines. According to the reports, nearly 4 million people presently reside within a one-hour drive from the Denver International Airport. The new service is also likely to boost bilateral trade and commerce in the two destinations.
