CVG Airport to get extra flights to Mexico and North Carolina

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will soon get additional flights. To curb the seasonal demand, key carriers like Delta Air Lines and U.S. Airways will add more flights on some of its existing routes.

Delta Air Lines will offer daily nonstop service from CVG to Cancun, Mexico from December 1 through January 18, 2015. At present is operates once weekly nonstop flight between the city pair.

U.S. Airways will offer additional daily flights to Charlotte from July 2 through August 18. At present it operates six daily flights between CVG and Charlotte. The new flight will leave CVG at 0530 hours and arrive in Charlotte at 0655 hours. A regional jet offering 50 seats will operate this additional service.

Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air has also announced to start scheduled service to Tampa Bay region from May 15. It had originally planned to offer twice weekly flights to Tampa Bay, however keeping in mind the surging demand; it has decided to offer more flights on this route. The airline will also offer seasonal flights to Myrtle Beach from May 30 through August 11. At present Allegiant flies to Orlando and Fort Myers from CVG.

CVG Airport continues to reinvent more flying options over the past year. It has successfully managed to add more destinations and airlines to its list. CVG flies to 37 U.S. cities, offering 52 nonstop flights and 170 daily departures. CVG for the fourth consecutive year has received World Airport Award for the Best Regional Airport in North America.
