Delta Installs Lie-Flat Seats on Its International Widebody Fleet

Delta Air Lines has finally completed installation of its fully lie-flat seats across its business class section on its entire International Widebody Fleet.

Delta Air Lines has modified business class seats on all of its 767-300ERs, 767-400ERs, 747-400s, 777-200s, A330-200s and A330-300s. All these seats will have direct aisle access on all international flights. This is Delta’s largest fleet modification undertaken in last 10 years. With these changes, Delta has become the only U.S. carrier to offer fully lie-flat seats with complete aisle access and personal on-demand entertainment system, on all overseas business class flights operated using widebody aircrafts.

Since 2010, Delta has been working towards offering enhanced user experience to its BusinessElite cabin passengers. It launched Wi-Fi service on all its flights. Installed Westin Heavenly In-Flight bedding for premium comfort. Started offering Malin+Goetz products in a Tumi stylized amenity kit. And has appointed James Beard Award winners and celebrity chefs to offer the best of in-flight food.

From July 1, 2014 Delta will offer full flat-bed seats between JFK and LAX route, on three of its Boeing 757-200 aircrafts. This will be the first route to feature these upgraded seats as Delta had announced to offer these upgraded seats also on its JFK-SFO and JFK-SEA routes. Both these transcontinental flights will feature these fully flat bed seats by the end of 2015.
