Edelweiss Airlines Await Growth of Business Passengers on Tampa Route

Edelweiss Airlines, leading airline of Switzerland, recently improved its services and is hoping to get a positive impact on its business passengers on Zurich-Tampa route. The flights with improved services on this route will operate two times per week i.e. every Tuesdays and Fridays.

The flights on this route will operate using Airbus 330-300 aircraft. This airplane will have new fully-flat seats in business class and offer surplus leg room in Economy Max seats. There will be 27 exclusive business class seats and 57 Economy Max seats for people of Tampa.

The new business class seat looks like mini business suite and includes air cushion and support for back. The seat can be changed to lounge position. Each double seat has a table in between and single seat has tables on each side. There is one touch screen monitor behind every seat that can be used for playing games and watching movies. In addition, each seat has head phones and night light that can be set to three modes. The Economy Max seat has more leg space and has more recline capability as desired by long distance passengers. All the upgrades undertaken in business class section will have a positive impact on business class travelers will be enough to entice them, resulting in more business class passenger traffic for the airline on its Zurich-Tampa route.

Edelweiss Airlines started to serve the passengers of Tampa from 2012. This was the first International flight to Tampa under the leadership of Joe Lopano the chief executive officer Tampa International Airport. Before his helm, Tampa airport was supporting only about 36 international flights per week. On the other hand Orlando International Airport was serving around 200 international flights. Since its maiden flight between Zurich and Tampa the airline has attracted 35,000 new passengers to have a visit to the best beaches of America.

The US passengers who visit Zurich from Tampa have the option to get connected with 40 other European destinations. These destinations include the leisure and business hubs.
