Emirates Airline introduces daily A380 service to Switzerland

Emirates Airline recently introduced Airbus A380 service to Switzerland bringing the total number of destinations being served by A380s to 25. The daily flight services are now being conducted between Zurich International Airport and Dubai International Airport. The inaugural flight departed from Dubai International Airport on January 8, 2014 with over 500 passengers on board.

Emirates Airline in a statement said that the customers would be offered 14 seats in First Class. The customers booking business class tickets would be offered 76 seats, while the Economy Class cabin will offer 427 seats. According to the airline, the daily flights would depart from Dubai at 0825 hours and arrive in Zurich at 1220 hours. The return flight on the other hand would depart from Zurich at 1435 hours and arrive in Dubai at 2340 hours. Apart from the new A380 service, Emirates Airline is also operating a second daily flight on Dubai-Zurich route with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. With two daily flights, the airline will now be offering a total of 870 seats per day on this route.

According to Emirates Airline, the customers booking business class tickets would be offered a generous baggage allowance of 40 kg. The customers traveling in the First Class are being offered a baggage allowance of 50 kg, while those traveling in the Economy Class are allowed 30 kg as checked baggage allowance. With the new A380 service the travelers to Zurich will also be able to connect to other destinations as well, including Sydney, Shanghai, Bangkok and Mauritius.
