Emirates Airline Wins Awards for Its Onboard Amenities

Emirates Airlines won TravelPlus Airline Amenity Bag Awards 2013 for its onboard amenities. It received awards for its amenity kits offered in business class category and for its kids give-aways. Launched in 2009, the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Bag Awards commemorates the best amenity kits offered by airlines across all classes.

The airline won awards under three different categories, namely Children’s Goody Bag, Business Class-Men and Business Class-Female. The decision was based on how the amenity kits were designed and what products were offered in it and why. Luxury, ongoing trends, usability, pleasure and style quotient were the five judging criterion. TravelPlus Airline Amenity Bag Awards 2013 organized in Hamburg had 20 different categories for which it had received 120 entries.

Robin Padgett, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Catering said, that we at Emirates are really careful when designing our amenity kits. We give a lot of importance on what our premium class passengers will need and want. We give them an optimum amalgamation of luxury, comfort, aesthetics and quality. The amenity kits comprise products belonging to top brands like Bvlgari. Most of our passengers when de-boarding take their amenity kits along with them, clearly indicating that they love what we offer.

In Children’s Goody Bag category, Emirates received the award for its ‘Fly With Me Monster’ collection. Launched in 2012, this ‘Fly With Me Monster’ collection comprises of seatbelt critters, blanket buddies and magnetic sketchers. All the monster characters offered under this collection have their own independent personality and character.
