Emirates to upgrade its Dubai - Glasgow evening route

Emirates Airlines from January 2013 will be upgrading its Dubai - Glasgow evening route. As of now this evening flight is being operated by an A340-300 aircraft, which by the beginning of next year will be operated by a B777-300ER aircraft.

From January 1, 2013 all new, big and spacious B777-300ER aircraft with a total of 364 seats will be functional on this route. A B777-300ER aircraft is already operating the afternoon flight of this same sector.

Post this addition, Emirates will add about 650 seats per week on this second daily service. With this upgrade the carrier have moved a step ahead towards introducing itself as the official air carrier for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, to be held in Glasgow.
